UAN-HCR, the United Ancient Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, is a global organization dedicated to preserving ancestral knowledge, protecting cultural rights, and building harmonious futures for Indigenous peoples forced to flee their traditional territories due to cultural persecution, environmental destruction, or denial of their right to practice ancient wisdom traditions authentically.
UAN-HCR is created by a collective of dispossessed Indigenous peoples who lost the right to practice their sacred traditions in their ancestral lands. We lead international action to protect cultural refugees, forcibly displaced ancient communities, and Indigenous peoples denied recognition of their traditional sovereignty.
Our vision is a world where every displaced preserver of ancient enlightenment sciences can rebuild their spiritual communities while maintaining sacred connections to ancestral knowledge.
UAN-HCR was established to address the persecution of Indigenous peoples and ancient civilizations whose wisdom traditions have been suppressed, creating safe havens where they can peacefully live and express their spirituality, traditional arts, and cultural heritage free from denigration, interference and violence.
Today, UAN-HCR operates across multiple continents through Indigenous networks. We provide culturally appropriate assistance including ceremonial shelter, traditional foods, water, and healing practices rooted in ancient medicine ways for people forced to flee cultural persecution. We defend their right to maintain spiritual practices, preserve ancestral languages, and continue their role as Earth's guardians.
We help them find places where they can rebuild their lives according to the Six Pillars of Global Enlightenment while sharing their ancient sciences with humanity. Long term, we work with nations to develop policies that recognize Indigenous cultural sovereignty, traditional governance systems, and the sacred sciences of ancient civilizations, ensuring universal access to holistic education, traditional healing practices, and environmental stewardship rooted in ancestral wisdom.
In everything we do, UAN-HCR honors displaced Indigenous peoples as partners and teachers, placing their ancient knowledge at the center of our humanitarian response and global transformation initiatives.
